7" h. x 2" w price is for the pair. Simian red was made by Tiffany, in tribute to the craft of ancient Samos.
See Behind the Scenes of Tiffany Glass Making, by Eidelberg and McClelland, P. 216, description of Samian Red Glass. This is one of the new colors introduced after 1900. The pieces were graceful, unornamental oriental shapes. The Samarian red was generally not combined with other colors. Very few of these Tiffany pieces were made as this red was very hard to produce and are collectors items.
